An infection can spread because of 3 factors being present in a situation:

1. A Bug (organism) that can cause harm
2. A Vulnerable Person
3. A way for the Bug to move to the Vulnerable Person

EXAMPLES: Influenza (H1N1), E.coli, MRSA, Measles, Meningitis, Hepatitis,  HIV/AIDS
